This was build number 23 for 2023 and was a commission for a client who wanted a HG Calibarn in the theme of their original chacacter named Violet.
Building Calibarns back to back was a pretty tough experience. Having to deal with those massive seam lines on both the long rifle and the backpack really slowed the pace of building but luckily I had multiple projects going at the same time to reduce the anxiety a bit.
I replaced all the green stickers with purple metallic tape.

Painting
Off white – White primer, Foundation White + bit of MS Purple base coat, then Foundation White + very tiny bit of MS Purple for highlight, then finally GX White for a final highlight
Light Purple – MS Purple, add white for highlights, then postshade blend
Purple – White primer, Mr Color Purple base coat, add white for highlights then postshade blend
Red – Red brown preshade, then MS Char’s red + bit of red brown to cover
Frame – Starbright Iron + GX Metal Violet
